Aerophobia
(Fear of Flying)

 

Aerophobia is an intense fear of flying in airplanes, helicopters or any other flying vehicle.

Numerous people experience some level of discomfort associated with flying, but in most cases their level of discomfort falls within acceptable limits and is manageable in most respects. Individuals suffering from Aerophobia on the other hand experience a level of intense fear that is significant enough to trigger extreme reactions at an emotional, physiological and behavioral level.

 

At an emotional level, symptoms may include:

Session Information

 

The session begins with a soothing progressive relaxation designed to put both your mind and body into a relaxed state of being.    

Once you have totally relaxed and are within a comfortable state of hypnosis, you will be gently directed using guided imagery.

A process that allows you to incorporates the various steps of your trip, such as packing, driving to the airport, navigating the terminal, boarding your flight, take off, air travel and landing at your destination.

 

During this process various positive visualizations, metaphorical references, and hypnotic suggestions will work to help you psychologically reframe negative and unrealistic perceptions, expectations and belief patterns, thus reducing much of the discomfort normally associated with flying. Causing you to become comfortably relaxed throughout the duration of your flight.     

 

As your session nears its end you will be guided through an exercise of deep breathing and suggestive techniques that you may use on your own, following your hypnosis session.
