Everyone deals with stress at some point or another. Whether it be relationship issues, work related problems or financial hardship. But not everyone deals with stress in the same way. In fact, there are many factors that contribute to one’s ability to effectively handle any level of stress, such as physical health, emotional well being and a solid support system.

 

A stressful event will cause the body to respond, initiating a stress response known as the fight or flight response. This stress response causes your body to release chemicals such as adrenaline and cortisol that alter the physiological functions of your body, effecting your cardiovascular, digestive and nervous system. The session begins with a soothing progressive relaxation designed to put both your mind and body into a relaxed state of being.    

Once you have totally relaxed and are within a comfortable state of hypnosis, you will be gently directed using guided imagery. During this process various positive visualizations, metaphorical references, and hypnotic suggestions will be presented as your imagination takes you on a leisurely walk down a wooded path.

 

During your journey you will encounter various activities that will provide you the opportunity to both identifying your stressors and release your troubles, worries and concerns. Leaving you feeling wonderfully relaxed and refreshed.

 

As your session nears its end you will be guided through an exercise of deep breathing and suggestive techniques that you may use on your own, following your hypnosis session.
